About Pathways Inward

we help you reconnect with your soul and inner-knowing, so you can experience more authenticity, joy and ease in your life

At Pathways Inward, our primary goal is to help you establish a deeper connection with your soul or higher self. We view challenges like depression, anxiety, and other forms of suffering as signals calling you toward greater meaning and depth in your life—often marking the early stages of spiritual awakening. We believe the key to overcoming suffering lies in uncovering the deeper “why” behind your existence, so you can align with a more meaningful path and way of being in the world.

Heart-shaped hedge

To succeed with Pathways Inward, it is essential that you are open to pursuing your healing journey in a spiritually informed and connected way.

We provide tools and guidance to help you discover multiple pathways inward towards your soul, giving you access to your own higher truth, healing, and sense of purpose

Finding your soul path doesn’t always require changing your life in the physical realm; however, it almost always leads to a profound shift in how you view yourself and the meaning you derive from life. Clients often experience a deepened sense of self-love, greater self-acceptance, and a release of fear, allowing them to embrace and express their true selves and gifts. Ultimately, this transformation benefits not only you but also the world around you.

Lene M Pedersen, M.A

Integrative Mental Health Practitioner

Lene has spent the last 30 years deeply immersed in self-healing and consciousness-expanding practices. She earned her MA in Integrative Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). She chose CIIS because of its unique blend of Eastern and Western philosophies, spirituality, connection to and inclusion of Indigenous traditions and medicine.

Lene is trauma-sensitive, trained in Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), Shamanic Journeying, Interactive Guided Meditation and Mindfulness. She has experience working with clients moving through spiritual awakening and kundalini rising, as well as those integrating non-ordinary states of consciousness catalyzed by psychedelic medicines or profound spiritual experiences. Lene is 200 RYT Yoga Teacher certified.

Lene practices meditation daily, and is a practitioner of the Eightfold Path. She is highly attuned, compassionate, and intuitive. Through her own healing, and work with clients, Lene has gained profound insight into the core factors that enable individuals to reconnect to their authentic self, to heal, and overcome the obstacles that block their path.

POSITIONALITY

Lene grew up in rural Denmark near the German border, in a region shaped by the intergenerational trauma of two World Wars. She is an immigrant who has lived in Costa Rica, London, and many regions of the United States, experiences that have shaped her sensitivity to culture, history, place, and belonging.

She is a white, heterosexual, able-bodied woman and acknowledges the privileges associated with these identities. She is also neurodiverse (ADHD), and her healing path has included various psychedelic therapies and plant teachers, approached with humility, respect, and ethical care.

Married and a mother of two young adults, Lene holds her work with a commitment to cultural humility, responsibility, and an understanding that healing unfolds within personal and collective contexts.

Expanding My Training to Serve You More Deeply

As Pathways Inward continues to grow, so does my commitment to offering care that is both practical and profoundly meaningful. To support the full spectrum of healing—emotional, somatic, and spiritual—I am actively expanding my skillset and advancing my professional training.

I am currently enrolled in the year-long Psychedelic Therapy and Research Certificate Program at CIIS, with anticipated completion in June 2026. I am also in the process of becoming a certified Psilocybin Facilitator in the state of Oregon. In the spring of 2026, I will continue to deepen my work with breath and expanded states through a certification and practicum in Cannabis-Assisted Breathwork with the Medicinal Mindfulness Institute. Alongside these trainings, I am completing my certification as a Soma Breath Breathwork Facilitator (expected completion spring of 2026).

Each of these pathways reflects my dedication to offering integrated, trauma-informed, and soul-aligned support. My intention is to meet every client with a broader, more grounded skillset—so the work we do together can unfold with greater depth, safety, and possibility.
